Embroidered Tassel Directions

Materials:
Designs used are from the Fancy Frock collection of A Bit of Stitch
Medium weight craft wire
Long fringed trim, ribbon, hanging beaded trim or other trimmings suitable for
     Tassel making
Hot Glue or Permanent Fabric Glue

Back one layer of felt with iron-on tear-a-way stabilizer. Using stiff felt such as
Durastiff Felt is helpful. Stitch two of the same designs, mirror imaging one.
Remove the stabilizer and cut out as closely as possible.

Cut a piece of wire approximately 3 long. Twist a small loop in the center and
fold the ends out and then down to form the hanger. Glue the hanger inside the
top of one dress side.

Glue trim to the inside of one dress side starting just above the hem. Try to keep
the trimming as flat as possible and clear of the sides of the dress. Glue the
other dress over the trim on the back of the first dress. Pinch the sides together
tightly, letting the trimming fall free from between the hem lines of the dress
pieces.

Enjoy your tassel!
